Description
The Metropolitan Museum Mughal Ball Pen. From 1526 to 1858, India had some of its greatest cultural achievements.
Metropolitan Museum Mughal Ball Pen
This was the time of the Mughal Empire, and among its relics were many fine carpets. This one, the mughal carpet, happens to be the most magical of all, in the Museum’s collection. And its seventeenth-century design is also the one that covers this pen. The center field design reveals some Persian influence, but the borders on either end are clearly Indian. The ball pen twists to open and also twist to close and takes a standard ball point refill.
