Lamy 2000 Blackwood Ball Pen

This ballpoint pen has a body of special fiberglass known as Makrolon, with brushed stainless steel accents, including the spring-loaded clip. The velvety surface lends a warm feeling to the material. The Museum of Modern Art permanently displays the Lamy 2000 Ball Pen, which has won countless design awards. The pen also comes with a black refill packaged in a specially designed gift box.

Featuring an iconic Bauhaus-inspired look that’s as fresh and unique today as it was in the ’60s, the LAMY 2000 set the pace for LAMY’s ongoing commitment to strikingly innovative design. Everything about it, from the curve of the barrel to the choice of materials, is simultaneously designed to be beautiful and practical.

This Blackwood ballpoint pen features a special twist on the classic LAMY 2000. Instead of black polycarbonate, the barrel is beautifully finished and luxuriously solid-feeling African blueish blackwood.

Lamy Pens

When founded in 1930, Lamy fine pens had broad recognition. They launched the LAMY 2000 in 1996. This new fountain pen is revolutionary in several respects. The pen features no material surplus or design gadgets. Based on the Bauhaus principle, “form follows function,” the pen focuses on function only. This laid the foundation for the precise design language that still forms the basis for all Lamy writing instruments.

The LAMY 2000 also set new standards in craft in the mid-sixties, mainly because of the difficulty of working with the material combination of matt-ground stainless steel and Makrolon (polycarbonate).

When LAMY unveiled the Safari at the Frankfurt Fair in 1980, very few guessed that it would one day be the best-selling fountain pen in the world. The LAMY safari enabled Lamy to focus on the group of 10 to 15-year-olds for the first time.

This pen is the outcome of extensive research work in youth psychology. In close cooperation with designer Wolfgang Fabian and under the direction of Prof. Bernt Spiegel, they developed the pen. The ergonomic design and quality of the LAMY Safari are tailored to the needs of schoolchildren and adults.</p>

If you are looking for a ball pen, look no further. This award-winning writing instrument will surely fit your needs with elegance and functionality.
