The transparent resin barrel reveals the push-button filler so you can watch the press bar compress and fill the clear rubber sac with ink. Delta recreated the button-filler system that has a special place in fountain pen history. This system replaced the lateral filler in use since the turn of the 20th century. The Delta Demonstrator has a black resin cap with gold plated trims and an 18K gold nib in Fine and Medium.

The cap screw onto the end for secure posting. Even while posted the balance and writing remains comfortable. The gold plated smartly designed compression bar, inside the barrel, is very effective at squeezing the ink sac. It is much better than some poorly implemented compression bars that we have seen in other lever fillers. The gold bands are thoughtfully placed forming an aesthetic balance that contributes to tits good looks.The clip is solid and functional. The nib is a joy to use. Very smooth right out of the box, but not slippery. The plastic feed  supplies the perfect amount of ink without drying if left unused for a few days. The ink supply is admirably large especially for an ink sac.

The packaging is typical of Delta’s limited editions; cardboard outer box, nice foam lined inside that held the pen, together with ta top with thumb screws, a black bottle of ink, and some supporting documents.

In summary: An extremely well made pen that goes over of what even a sophisticated person could desire. In addition, it is a great and very usable writer that you can carry around. It is one of the best button fillers available and it holds a lot of ink.
