Their sharp edges also softened by the coil of squares lie to the eye creating a sense of vertigo. A delicate silver plating covers the body of this pen, engraved and then covered with rhodium. The name Ecridor and the hexagonal shape of the pen have been emblems to Caran d’Ache since its origin. These pens are easily recognizable by its silver finishes, and cute patterns etched into the surface by master engravers.

Caran d’Ache comes from the word  “karandash,” which is the Russian term for “pencil.” Or probably the word comes from the Turkish root “kara tash,” which refers to black stone – the origins of graphite.

The Ecridor Rotation is silver-plated and coated with rhodium.
