Description
Caran d’Ache Metrub Rollerball. Caran d′Ache produces fine and elegant fountain pens that appeal a lot. They performed flawlessly probably because the pen remains stereotypically Swiss, and they usually manage to create stunning fountain pens that write even better than they look. The Metrub collection has a graceful shape. And when you add to that a functional design, you end enjoying almost all Caran d’Ache pens. We are in deep trouble because you need to be an oil sheik to get all the Caran d’Ache pens that We like.
Caran d’Ache is a Swiss manufacturer of art and luxury writing instruments. The company saw the light in Geneva in 1924 when Arnold Schweitzer purchased the Ecridor Pencil Factory. Schweitzer named his new company after Caran d’Ache, the nickname of a French satiric political cartoonist -who in turn took his name from карандаш (karandash), the Russian word for pencil-.
Caran d’Ache Metrub Fountain Pen
CdA Varius collection is available in several variants. The rollerball pen offered here is the “Varius Metrub, short for metal and rubber.” The pen combines a rubber body and silver parts resulting in a modern and stylish look. The first thing that catches the eye is the hexagonal shape.
Just by looking at the pen, you can quickly tell that it is of the highest quality. The Caran d’Ache Metrub is a very well made pen. The clip is also functional, and it can easily clip to any shirt. The tension of the clip is just enough to secure the pen while having enough play to operate with relative ease. Besides, the end of the barrel allows the cap to post. It snaps into place and holds with friction. It’s a tight and secure fit.
This Caran d’Ache, Varius Metrub rollerball pen, comes equipped with a valid Caran d’Ache refill. We enjoy writing with them; they are smooth and allow a fluid trace. Their performance is flawless, and We like the fact that the pen allows for some line variation. We cherish pens with style, and this one certainly has « personality.»
