A Scottish designer Norman Moore made it possible to bring forth Acme Studio Splash Pen to the Studio’s Standards. This pen represents yet, another vibrant looking roller ball for pen lovers. The pen comes with one black roller ball refill. Like other ACME pens, this rollerball pen also comes with the artist’s signature engraved on it. ACME skillfully presented this pen, in a metal ACME box with a black sleeve and ACME literature
What makes this Acme pen unique is its ability to function as both a roller ball or a fountain pen, using a simple conversion kit that, in turn, uses either cartridges or a standard converter.
Acme Studio Splash Pen
In 1985 Adrian Olabuenaga and his wife Lesley Bailey funded ACME Pens in Los Angeles. ACME PENS made its first appearance with a limited edition collection designed for them by Peter Shire. A Los Angeles based member of the well known Memphis Group. Soon after the initial debut, ACME pens released an extensive selection of over one hundred pieces. Titled MEMPHIS DESIGNERS for ACME, with the help of writer Barbara Radice and, Ettore Sottsass.
Furthermore, their pen collection changed the jewelry industry. In the same way, the Memphis Group’s changed the design world. ”ACME PENS released his first collection in 1997. Designs by Frank Lloyd Wright, Piet Mondrian, Michael Graves, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, and others made the collection.
